Displaying our truck tarps
The orange truck tarp has been selling well for over 30 yrs.

We have situated the smaller more popular sizes in the center of the shelving unit and placed the largest sizes on the bottom next to the canvas tarps. Like the Bale Covers the plastic packaging was removed before placing the tarps onto the shelves. The Truck Tarps and the Canvas tarps are meant to be displayed on edge as shown, this will allow full exposure of the label to the customer.
As illustrated below, the Bale Cover, the Truck Tarp and the Canvas tarps fit well with each other and sell to the same market.
Displaying our imported utility tarps
Inland Plastics Inc has employed a "good, better, best" concept to our Imported Utility tarp line. The "good" refers to the 10x8 weave blue. the "better" refers to the 10x10 weave tan tarp and lastly the "best" refers to the 14x14 weave green tarp line.

Please note the we have hung the 6x8 size of each tarp in the accessories area, located right next to the tarps so that the labels would be exposed.
The green line was placed higher as we are attempting to "up sell" the customer to a higher margin product. Any store that has added the heavier line of tarps has not hurt the sales of the light weight blue line.
It is not possible for most retailers to stock all sizes of tarps that are available to them from Inland Plastics Inc. However, the customer should be aware of the full extent of sizes that are available to them particularly the larger sizes (up to 50'x100'.)As shown in the lowest picture we can make available upon request, laminated point of sale cards that list all sizes available.
As indicated above, we have hung the 6x8 tarps facing the customer to aid in sales. This concept is very new to the tarpaulin industry and will improve your in store tarp sales if incorporated. All of Inland Plastics Imported Utility tarps come with a grommet punched into the top of each package with a fabric sample attached for the customer to feel and compare to the other lines.
Lastly, we package our tarps in such a way that once the outer packaging is removed the stack can be placed directly onto the shelf without the tarps sliding around making a mess of your tarp department!
Displaying bale covers
The Spiral Anchor Pins (used to fasten Hay Tarps to the hay stack) fit nicely between the Bale Covers on the shelf. Smaller Bale Cover sizes such as 15x54 and 18x48 are placed on the upper shelves with the larger 28x48 and 33x48 located on the lower shelves. As the smaller Covers are placed on the upper shelves more Spiral Anchor Pin boxes can be added to the upper shelves as indicated above. The plastic packaging on the Bale Covers can be removed prior to placement. Bale Cover Point of Sale signs can be made available.

Displaying Retail Accessories
Please note that the accessories should be placed in the center of your tarpaulin aisle or on an end cap for best sales results. Signs can also be made available to you to draw attention to your tarp department.

Shelf Dividers
Why Inland Shelf Dividers? (for tarp display)
